Abstract

Meningiomas, a group of tumors arising from the meninges, have a
wide range of morphological characteristics that determine the type and grade of
malignancy. Anaplastic meningiomas are difficult to study because they resemble
soft tissue malignancies. Immunostaining allows not only to determine the
cytogenetic source of the tumor and the degree of malignancy, but also to identify
pathological proteins - transcription products of damaged DNA sections and make
recommendations for the appointment of targeted therapy.
