RATIONAL CHOICE OF DIURETICS FOR EDEMATOUS SYNDROME OR OPTIMIZATION OF DIURETIC THERAPY FOR EDEMATOUS SYNDROME
Abstract
Diuretics are medicines used to enhance the formation of urine, eliminate excess water from the body and eliminate edema. The review article presents clinical and pharmacological approaches to diuretic therapy, data on the use of the main classes of diuretics. The main attention in the article is focused on the effectiveness and safety profile of loop diuretics and the most modern drug from this group — torasemide, which has additional properties.
