Abstract

Abstract: According to the WHO, the incidence of cytomegalovirus in newborns is 0.2-2.3% in developed countries, while in developing countries this figure reaches 6% [13,19,20,25]. Intrauterine infection takes one of the leading places in perinatal mortality. Cytomegalovirus infection ranks first among fetal infections and is considered one of the main causes of the formation of various defects.
