MRI IN TERMS OF MAGNETIC SUSCEPTIBILITY WEIGHTED IMAGES IN THE DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS OF PRIMARY LYMPHOMA OF THE CENTRAL NERVOUS SYSTEM AND ANAPLASTIC ASTROCYTOMA. CLINICAL OBSERVATION
Abstract
Primary central nervous system lymphomas (PCNSLs) are relatively rare tumors, usually with multifocal manifestation in the brain and rapid progression. In rare cases, it is possible to make a correct diagnosis using MRI, since, for example, malignant gliomas can manifest a similar pattern of changes when using routine MRI protocols. A clinical case of additional diagnosis of PCNSL using MRI in susceptibility mode is presented. weighted imaging (SWI), confirmed by histological examination of the surgical material.
